The Gaskell VIKING was released in 2009. It was inspired by one of the Rickenbacker® series of basses. Rickenbacker stopped making left handed instruments in 2008. Redesigned in Australia, the Gaskell Viking is made of Japanese Ash, with neck-thru construction using maple. Instead of using a bridge like the notorious original, we have used a Fender® style bass bridge for maximum adjustability. We have chosen to keep the Viking minimalistic, sleek and stylish, rather than dressing it up with pick guards and vintage knobs to make it look "retro." Our redesign transforms this striking shape and style fully into the 21st Century. The Gaskell Viking is a high quality, left handed bass guitar, unlike others on the market today, and yet still priced to be affordable for all. |
