Custom Left Handed Guitars

The Gaskell FIRESTARTER is inspired by a guitar that is said to be "the original Rock guitar." In the 47 years this guitar has been in existence, it has never been available as a production left handed guitar, and never with the "reverse body" option!  Lefties could only ever dream about getting a guitar like this ... until now.

Redesigned in Australia, the Firestarter has a 3-piece mahogany body and maple set-in neck with reverse headstock although we do not use the orginal banjo tuners which are renowned to break. Instead of mini humbuckers, we use full-size, open-coil humbuckers which gives the guitar more output and punch, and is thus makes it suitable for more styles of music. In addition to rhythm and lead the Firestarter is also perfect for slide guitar.

Something that any left handed guitarist encounters when playing the Firestarter is the forward position of the bridge. Many players will need to learn to compensate by bringing their whole arm forward more when playing. That is the nature of a "Firebird" style guitar!

If you want a guitar that is more "Rock" than anything else, then you have to play a Firebird style guitar - and for lefties that is the Gaskell Firestarter!
