The Gaskell CONCORD is a left handed Randy Rhoads style V guitar, modelled on Randy's original specs, before it became a Jackson®, production guitar. We even named ours the same as Randy's name for it. The body shape of the Gaskell Concord is closer to ESP's Alexi Laiho version than the Jackson Randy Rhoads original. We stayed faithful to Randy's choice of using a Fender® style tremolo-enabled bridge, a Gibson® style C-neck, custom gold pinstripes, block inlays and gold hardware. Ours is comes with twin Wilkinson® humbucking pickups, and we use our own Gaskell "duck bill" headstock so as not to violate the Copyright on the Jackson "pointy headstock." One of the noticeable benefits of V guitars in general are their excellent access to the highest notes on the fingerboard. Not only is the Gaskell Concord the perfect guitar for lead, but you can get any musical style out of it due to the twin volume, twin tone controls and three-way pickup selector. |
