Designed for the semi-professional and professional guitarist, the Gaskell HUNTSMAN is a James Hetfield style left handed Explorer like the one he used on the black album tour in 92-93. Named after one of our friendly Australian spiders, the Gaskell HUNTSMAN is 100% made at our Custom Shop in Sydney, Australia, or San Diego, California. It comes in Gothic Matt Black, with all black hardware and EMG active pickups. Your choice of pickups can be 81/81, or 81/60, or 81/85 EMG combinations. You can also have it with or without a pick guard. Unlike our production Explorer style guitars, the Huntsman has a set neck, like the Hetfield one. Every Huntsman receives as a standard option our PLATINUM SETUP SERVICE (see our FAQ page), which includes full fret work in addition to a standard setup. This service is done by hand and results in perfect frets with perfect playability at every position on the fretboard. This service by itself costs $250 and is included in the price of the guitar.
